Fiji Budget and Backpacker Accommodation
IF you are on a budget, then Fiji offers a good range of low-cost backpacker accommodation options. Throughout the islands, one can find excellent budget resorts that provide either private rooms or beach bures as well as dormitory accommodation. Some modern, flashpacker resorts also now offer safari tent accommodation, which incorporates raised hardwood floor and comfortable beds. Camping is also possible in Fiji, such as at Beverley's Beach in Taveuni (pictured at top).
Budget Resorts in Fiji
Above are a selection of budget resorts found in different regions of Fiji.
- Beachcomber Island Resort (Mamanucas)
- Bounty Island (Mamanucas)

- Octopus Resort (Yasawa Islands)
- Mango Bay Resort (Coral Coast)
- Uprising Beach Resort (Pacific Harbour)

Popular regions for budget accommodation include Nadi Bay, the Coral Coast, Pacific Harbour, Nananu-i-Ra on the mainland, and the Yasawas, Savusavu and Taveuni all on outer islands. On the mainland, travel by local bus to get a taste of the real Fiji. The Yasawas can be reached via the Yasawa Flyer, a yellow catamaran providing daily service from Port Denarau (Nadi) dropping off and picking up at all budget beach resorts. The northern destinations of Savusavu and Taveuni can be accessed economically via inter-island ferries from the mainland.
